Central Pastoral Office for Hispanic Ministries

Letters of Interest and applications for National Pastor for the Central Pastoral Office for Hispanic Ministries are currently being accepted.  In part, the Spanish-English bilingual candidate will be responsible for a scope of work that includes creating a work plan for the Central Pastoral Office, which shall be presented to the Hispanic Board of Directors and the Pastoral Commission for consideration and approval and implementing that plan in collaboration with Regions and General Ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Communication Ministries, Office of the General Minister and President Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

The position of Communication Coordinator is currently open and applications are being accepted.  Communication Ministries develops and coordinates communications activities related to Disciples Mission Fund, the biennial General Assembly and the Office of General Minister and President in cooperation and collaboration with ministries throughout the three expressions of the Church – local, regional and general.  The Communication Coordinator will, in part, generate and share content that builds meaningful connections using a variety of appropriate media (written word, video, photo or audio) for use in social media, app, web, newsletters or other settings; create weekly, bi-monthly and promotional e-mails as well as tracking click-through data; manage and create content for the Disciples app platform; and update and edit content on Disciples websites.

Reconciliation Ministries, Indiana Region and the General Church of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

The position of Reconciliation Ministry Coordinator will assist the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Indiana and beyond with its mission to address systemic racism in the church and larger society through clergy training, youth and young adult education, congregational conversations, and group travel experiences.
 
This 20-hour/week position is shared between the Indiana Region and the General Church.  This work is centered in Indianapolis providing support to the Reconciliation ministries of the Region and support to the Reconciliation ministries of the denomination as a whole. Hours and location are flexible, with telecommuting available for a portion of work hours, and some travel.

The Reconciliation Ministry Coordinator will be responsible for the following projects: Develop/identify reconciliation education camp curriculum for youth and young adults, and train counselors; Develop/identify and implement a training program for camp reconciliation peer leaders; Coordinate RECONciliation tours, which are grant-funded travel experiences to organizations doing outstanding reconciliation work; Coordinate and help develop/implement clergy anti-racism training programs, and more.
