Phase 3 Missional Strategies
of the "Journey of Discovery"
In
Phase Three of the Journey of Discovery,
each congregation is called to clarify its
“missional strategy”. Missional
strategy defines a congregation’s
reason for being. Five decisions, made one
at a time in Phase 3, make up a congregation’s
missional strategy. These decisions identify
the congregation’s (1) Guiding Vision;
(2) Role and Mission; (3) Key Result Areas
and Goals; (4) Key Participants; and (5)
Core Beliefs and Commitments.
While
a congregation’s missional strategy
will be unique to that particular congregation,
nevertheless it may be helpful to share
the outcome of each congregation’s
efforts to define their missional strategy
with the other congregations on the Journey.
