These words are the beginning of the Vision Statement affirmed by the Northwest Regional Christian Church at the Regional Assembly in May 2008. They reflect the commitment of this Region to be open to God’s leading, be transformed in our lives together and to recommit ourselves to a shared ministry, a community of communities, grace-filled, forward thinking, and open to new possibilities. RISE is the program of Regional Transformation developed to guide our community to the realization of our mission and commitment and is the program that will continue to guide our vision into the future. Very Important: You are being provided two documents -- the “RISE Mission Plan” and the “RISE Mission Plan With Notes for Implementation.” The Mission Plan contains the results of heartfelt discussion, loving connections and deep prayer. It also contains the seeds of Spirit-filled mission in the near term as well as a path to lead beyond.
Please read the Mission Plan with the following in mind:
The document we will be working with on May 16th is the shorter “Mission Plan” document. On May 16th we will vote to affirm Focus Areas and the Objectives. We will also be affirming the structure recommendations from that last few pages of the Mission Plan. These structure recommendations do not require different bylaws.

NOTE: You will notice in the larger document “Mission Plan with Notes for Implementation” there is a section under each Focus Area called “Possible Actions” – these are not for a vote – they are simply the great ideas and food for thought that have been brought up during the RISE process and they will be used as starting points for the Regional Board and Ministry Teams. You do not need to print out and bring the larger document “Mission Plan with Notes for Implementation,” it is for informational purposes only.
