Regional Minister & President
Rev Sandy Messick
Rev. Sandra Morgan Messick was called to be Regional Minister and President in June of 2009.
Rev. Messick holds a B.A. in Speech Communication from San Diego State University (1985) and a Master of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis (cum laude, 1990). Her publications include a sermon in Bread Afresh, Wine Anew: Sermons by Disciples Women (1991), "Partners in Prayer," Advent Devotional Booklet, (1999) and various church school curricula published through Christian Board of Publication (1997-2003).She has earned a Certificate in Transitional Ministry from the Interim Ministry Network and a Certificate in Leadership and Church Management from Whitworth College.
She has pastored congregations in Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Washington. Since moving to the Northwest Region in 2000 she has served as Pastor at North Hill Christian Church in Spokane and Interim Pastor at University Christian Church in Seattle.
Sandy's husband, Tom, is Vice President of Operations and General Manager of Eastern Washington office for Premera Blue Cross. They live in Spokane, WA. They have two adult children, Sarah and John.

Arriving on staff in May 2001, Amber is a multi-functional employee at the NWRCC. Amber is on call at the virtual office of the NWRCC to assist in many functions: general customer service (answering questions, providing information), technology maintenance, general and advanced word processing (creating forms, letter writing, presentation set up). Duties also include web site design and up-keep, graphics and print material production, database contact development and management, and other duties as assigned or requested.
Amber and her husband Jeremy, an accountant, live in the Federal Way area.

Youth & Children's Ministry Coordinator
Stephen was hired by the Region in March of 2014. He comes to us with six years of experience in youth and children’s ministry; including time with the Northeast Area’s camping ministry and as a Youth Director with congregations in the Southwest area. He completed his Master of Divinity through the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2015. Along with working part-time for the Region, he also works as a part-time Youth Pastor for Northwest Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Stephen’s wife Rachael works as an Assistant Nurse Manager at Virginia Mason Medical Center. Together they have one daughter, Zadieblake, who frequently shows up at regional events. They all live in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA

Chris Walters is a software engineer who began writing code at age 7 on a Commodore 64 and now he dreams in binary. Chris worked at Microsoft, then spent 10 years with a consulting firm during the dot-com boom where he was on hundreds of projects for companies including Starbucks, Best Buy, and the Peace Corps. After the dot-com bust, he worked another seven years with a web dashboard software product company. At the start of 2013, Chris began searching for something new. Now he's found a way to join his technical and spiritual calling by working with the NWRCC as the Technology Coordinator
